The Intellectual Disabilities Program serves as a resource to local education agencies, charter schools, adult service agencies, parents and state-operated educational programs. The Consultant for Intellectual Disabilities is involved with state and local program planning and evaluation, policy development and inter-agency collaboration. A major focus of the program is the provision of professional staff development to teachers and administrators related to providing access to the general education curriculum.
